The Lugo family originates from Coamo, Puerto Rico. For many years, the family moved to different parts of the United States and eventually settled for some time in Lexington, Kentucky where the bourbon industry flourishes. Learning about the craft bourbon industry opened the family’s eyes into a world of opportunity.
For centuries, the Caribbean has been the hot spot for many types of rums thanks to all of the sugar cane farms. It is engrained in the culture of the Caribbean people. This, coupled with the concept of the craft bourbon industry is how Lugo’s Craft was born.
